I write about rape culture, trauma recovery, immigration issues, racism/xenophobia, and how they've all shown up in my life.
I stumbled into writing in October of 2014, after a friend invited me to a Facebook 30-day creativity challenge. I joined the challenge and decided to start a blog on my iPhone. About six months later, I realized I had a lot to say about the victim-blaming I experienced after I reported a rape to police and was dismissed, so I followed that path. From there, I started writing about other issues that mattered to me, among them domestic violence and immigration.
I wrote a memoir that's seeking a publisher, am developing a novel and a short story compilation, and am finding a way to balance everything on my plate while healing the traumas of my life through verse.
